GIRL, YOU'LL BE A WOMAN SOON.

Today it happened.

I walked into JCPenney bright-eyed and fresh aface, clutching gift cards tightly in my hands. New clothes. Ooooh how long I have wanted some new clothes. Holes have been forming in the butt region of my one pair of shorts. Every tee-shirt I own is more and more stretched out with armpit marks from years and years of deodorant. I have plenty of shoes...but oh! for some

...new clothes.

I head for the juniors' clearance section...50% off, 75% off, buy one get one free...these signs are beloved tokens of great deals waiting to be found.

I found nothing. Not one thing in the regular priced section either. I am clearly in the minority here, but the current fashion trend involving girls of all ages wearing what appear to be maternity shirts baffles me. If I'm not pregnant I don't want to look like I'm lugging around an extra life in my belly...I want to look thin and wonderful.
